Combat shortage of nursing faculty
A series of online, asynchronous modules by nurse anesthesia faculty and mentors will guide clinicians through the science of teaching and learning, methods of assessment, and the culture of academia with the development of an academic curriculum vitae and personal teaching philosophy.
Increase diversity of nursing faculty
Equip Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) certified registered nurse anesthesia providers (CRNAs) with the skills, experience and mentorship needed to successfully transition from bedside clinician to academic faculty and/or administrator.
Improve NURsing faculty retention via mentorship
The program will include simultaneous discussion and mentorship along with networking opportunities embedded within the aforementioned modules. Participants will have pre-test and post-test assessments, assignments, and semi-structured interviews to evaluate effectiveness and satisfaction with the program.
